Rebecca Nelson has been designing, altering and restoring wedding and special event attire since 1975. Her expertise and experience through the years have pleased many a bride, wedding attendant and young prom girl, who have come back to her over and over again, to make or alter the dress of their dreams. Her many clients delight in the special look and exacting fit of each and every garment made for them. The task of making that one special item, for that special event of a life time comes naturally to Rebecca, who's baptism into the special event clothing business started when she was asked to make her younger sister's wedding gown in 1975, and subsequently ended up making many of the 13 attendants gowns, as well as the mother of the bride's attire.

Additional professional training plus a deep knowledge of quality of construction and design has grown Rebecca's Dresses home studio into a full time business. Rebecca's Dresses is located in central Massachusetts just inside I-495.

2011 Fairly God Mother Project of Metro-West, Saturday, March 12, 2011 - Assabet Valley Technical High School, Marlborough, MA

In March every year, Rebecca volunteers one day to recruiting volunteers and taking part as an alteration specialist for the Fairy God Mother Project of Metro West.  This one day special boutique brings together over 700 worthy high school girl's who can't afford the expense of attending their local proms.  Last year some 1,500 gowns, shoes, purses, jewelry and make-up was donated to the project and given to these young ladies - along with the necessary alterations needed for each gown.  This brings hundreds of smiles to faces that are now ready for their "Princess" day in high school.  Please contact Rebecca if you have items, such as gowns/shoes/jewelry to donate to the 2011 project; or if you would like to volunteer, either as a Fairy God Mother or help in the alteration department.

Rebecca is a formal member of the American Association of Bridal Consultants and a member, and Membership Director of the Association of Sewing and Design Professionals, New England chapter.

VACATION IS OVER, TIME TO GET BACK TO WORK

It was a wonderful vacation, going to Jamaica for my niece's wedding - which was gorgeous!!

Now it's back to work - with 4 weddings already in house, and more coming.  I love what I do.  Call me anytime.
